Our Actions

We will seek and achieve greater shared understanding of vital issues, including:

non-violent approaches to the achieving of international reconciliation and security;

the many other cultures and national identities;

conditions that result in susceptibility to the appeal of terrorism, such as political instability, poverty, desperation, and despair;

approaches to reducing these conditions and ways of increasing public and political support for those approaches; and

our democratic traditions and constitutional rights and how we can protect and maintain them.

We will study and acquire increasing understanding of the ways local groups can be effective in their mission.

We will express our messages through individual and group contacts, political contacts, letters, community meetings, peaceful tabling, vigils, and protests.

We will expand our reach through contacts with religious, educational, and other groups.

We will collaborate with entities and groups that share our mission.

We will seek to bring together all supporters of peace and justice in our communities.

We will share what we learn with other communities and will learn from others.

We will provide encouragement and support to leaders who work for non- violence, reconciliation, and justice.
